Hospital offers rapid assessment and diagnosis of breast
conditions by experienced Consultant Breast Surgeons with
appointments available Monday to Friday.
Full-field Digital Mammography
Euxton Hall Hospital is now offering access to
a brand new, state of the art mammography service available to
women over the age of 40, ten years before the national screening
age.
One of the first hospitals in the North West
to have the full-field digital mammography machine, Euxton Hall
offers a consultant led Breast Care service from referral to
treatment. Patients are fully supported throughout their
journey by a specialist Breast Care consultant, consultant
radiologist and specially trained Breast Care nurse.
The digital mammography provides more
effective results than traditional film screening and allows the
radiologists to enhance the image in order to detect certain breast
cancers previously difficult to visualise. All images are
dual reported.
The hospital has immediate access to a range
of diagnostic equipment enabling quicker results, sometimes same
day.
