Radiology Department
The Imaging department is staffed by experienced professionals
and is equipped with state of the art equipment, including its own
Siemens CT scanner and Siemens 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner, ultrasound
and digital fluroscopy. The range of services on offer

For plain films, appointments can be offered as early as the day
of referral. For other procedures, depending on the preparation and
speciality, an appointment may be offered within the next 5
days.

Pathology
Pathology/phlebotomy service is available routinely at all
clinics.
Pathology specimens are tested by CPA accredited laboratories
with
Fast turnaround times; most results can be made available in
24-48 hours.
The department’s services include:
- Histology and cytology (including smear testing,
- Liquid based cytology and one stop Breast clinics)
- Microbiology (including MRSA screening,
routineculture/sensitivity)
- Haematology (including full blood count, ESR, coagulation)
- Biochemistry (including U&E, LFT, TFT, tumour markers and
G.T.T. by appointment)
- Serology (including auto antibodies, Rheumatoid testing)
- Blood transfusion service, (including group and cross
matching)
The department also has newly launched tests available e.g.
Complex PSA, results will be posted to the referring clinician or
can be faxed by request if urgent.
Endoscopy
Euxton Hall Hospital offers open access to gastroscopy and
flexible
sigmoidoscopy in its specially designed day unit. Euxton Hall is
fully equipped to offer the following procedures:
- Gastroscopy, examination of the oesophagus, stomach and
duodenum
- Sigmoidoscopy, examination of the lower bowel, biopsy &
polyp removal
- Colonoscopy, large intestine examination for inflamed tissue,
abnormal growths
- Ulcers & bleeding, ERCP – including therapeutic
procedures
